Myofascial Restoration of the Neck & Upper Back Flagstaff - September 2024
This class will take an in depth look at theories and practice of fascia and myofascial restoration.
Tired of courses that are heavy in technique with no explanation as to "why" we are doing what we're doing? Struggle to get the creative juices flowing after learning new techniques, and are unclear or insecure about putting them together in a therapeutic treatment that flows? Ditch the triple digits this summer and join me in Flagstaff, AZ to learn the theories and practice of fascia and myofascial restoration.
- We will debunk some common misconceptions held by massage therapists
- We will learn the anatomy of fascia, how it responds to our touch, and how it differs from muscle tissue.
- We will practice palpating each layer of soft tissue, and become familiar with the feel of the myofascial layer.
- We will learn a full treatment routine from beginning to end using myofascial techniques. This routine is intended to be a starting point, a helpful baseline for those that work best by seeing what a full treatment might look like. Therapists are encouraged to apply their own unique artistry and skill to customize what they've learned once they leave the classroom.
- We will be able to answer, "What am I doing, and why?" by the completion of this course!
*PSA: Bring a notebook and pen for notetaking on the first day of class. This will be a Myofascial Restoration Lecture.
