Level I introducing Craniosacral work with a biodynamicperspective. The sacred practice of touch, deeply listening with our hearts and hands from a place of compassionate stillness. This course will be a look at the history of craniosacral work, with the exploration and manipulation of cranial bone movement, which evolved into the gentle and subtle yet powerful healing energy work that we can experience and learn today as craniosacral therapy and biodynamic craniosacral work.
The course introduces students to the structural elements of the craniosacral mechanism: the bones, central nervous system, membranes, tissues, and cerebrospinal fluid. It also explains the elements of the fluid dynamics of the craniosacral system from the ñbiodynamicî perspective: the potency, the fluid motion and stillness as expressed by the tidal movement of the ñBreath of Lifeî within the body. Students will practice sensitizing their hands to the energetics of each of the major bones of the cranium, and practice cultivating the inner stillness and presence that is needed to listen to the tidal expressions of this healing wisdom within the human being.
Massage therapists will be able to start incorporating these concepts and contacts into their massages right away. They will also come away with some suggested sequences to practice whole hour long sessions of craniosacral work.
Instructor: Heidi Wilson Heidi Wilson has been practicing craniosacral work since 1994. She is certified in Visionary Craniosacral work from the Milne Institute. She has also studied biodynamic methods from Charles Ridley, Jan Jones, Ryan Halford, Franklyn Sills and Debra Meness, D.O. www.heidiwilsonfluidhealing.com
