A comprehensive class on the powerful & stirring techniques from Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Day ONE: All body Cupping & Gua Sha. Applications of topical Chinese Liniments. Emphasis on the treatment of Pain.
- Review of, Qi, meridians, point location and 5 element theory
- Bi-Syndrome and Body Pain. Understanding Pathogenic influences such as the 6 evils that lead to body pain.
- Combined cupping with Asian bodywork styles such as Acupressure, Tuina, Shiatsu or Thai Massage.
- Body Cupping styles, Suction cupping, Vacuum cupping and glass cupping
- Body Gua Sha, Hot and Cold Gua Sha
- Liniments for use during therapy and liniments for client home use.
Day TWO: Facial cupping and Gua Sha. Applications of facial topical Chinese liniments. Emphasis on anti-aging wellness.
- Review of Qi , facial and scalp meridians , facial point location
- 5 Element Facial assessment.
- The impact of Diet and Lifestyle on Wellness and Anti-aging.
- The correction of Slack Qi on the face and head .
- Combined Facial cupping styles and acupressure
- Combined Facial Gua Sha and acupressure
- Liniments for facial treatments and client home care use.
A basic foundation or introduction to Asian Bodywork, is required to take this class.
Jeanette Campbell, Dip.OM, L.Ac, LMt,L.Ch,MSOM. Jeanette Campbell has been in health care for 22 years. Jeanette teaches and practices Western and Eastern Massage therapies daily in her Oriental Medical practice. Jeanette Campbell practices Traditional Chinese Medicine including; Acupuncture, Chinese Herbal Medicine , Tuina ATupressure, Moxabustin, Cupping, Gua Sha , and multiple Western Massage therapy disciplines.
